RESULTS:
- Medals will be provided to 1st, 2nd & 3rd overall place-getters in each event not per heat. Results will be available via a QR code on the day or by clicking here

WARM UP PROCEDURES:
- Primary – All warm ups to be completed in the Competition pool
- Secondary – All warm ups to be completed in the Competition pool
- Utility Pool (Lanes 0-3) – The utility pool will be available for warm up and swim down for the duration of both carnivals.
SPECIFIC EVENT TIMINGS

PARKING
- Discounted parking vouchers need to be collected at the venue before returning to the car park pay station for validation and/or additional payment.

EVENT MARSHALLING
- No accommodation will be made for any student who misses their event.
- Individual students will not be called to marshalling if they miss announcements.
STUDENT REGISTRATION & EVENT CHECK-IN
- PRIOR TO THE EVENT
- All Competitors need to register through the CSNSW portal prior to attending the Championships.
- All Competitors registrations must also have principal approval.
- AT THE EVENT
- Competitors arriving with Parents or Carers:
- Students travelling with Parents or Carers are asked to check-in with the QR Code upon their arrival at the Aquatic Centre or via the Registration/Check-In desk.
- If you are having any difficulty with checking in, you will be able to check-in at the Registration table
PROGRESSIONS
Students who progress into this carnival are nominated by your child’s school. If you have any questions, please contact the teacher in charge of sport at your school.
PRIMARY
- 6 swimmers from each event will be selected to represent SCS at the NSWCPS Swimming Championships to be held on Wednesday 1 April 2026 at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre. Progressions into this event will be posted below following the Carnival. Please Note:
- The top 5 swimmers from each event will automatically qualify.
- The final (1) position will be determined by SCS Sport post-event, taking into account the unlikely event of any extraordinary circumstances.
SECONDARY
- 2 swimmers from each event 100m, 200m, 400m & Relay Events will be selected to represent SCS at the NSWCCC Swimming Championships to be held on Wednesday 1st & Thursday 2nd April 2026 at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre. Progressions into this event will be posted below following the Carnival.
- 4 swimmers from each event 50m event will be selected to represent SCS at the NSWCCC Swimming Championships to be held on Wednesday 1st & Thursday 2nd April 2026 at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre. Progressions into this event will be posted below following the Carnival.
RULES & INFORMATION
COMPETITION RULES
- Swimming NSW rules apply
- Swimming NSW Officials will be present for starting, judging & disqualification purposes
- Parents and Spectators are not permitted to approach the NSW Officials or recording areas
- No substitutions can be made in any event except relays
- Withdrawals can be provided to the enquiries table
- Both the Primary and Secondary events are sanctioned by Swimming NSW
STARTING PROCEDURE
- This event has meet approval by NSW Swimming, as such will have a ‘one start rule’
COSTUME RULES
- The swimwear (swimsuit, cap and goggles) of all competitors should be appropriate and suitable for the individual sports disciplines and not to carry any symbol which may be considered offensive.
- The referee of a competition has the authority to exclude any competitor whose swimsuit does not comply with Swimming NSW GR19 Rule.
DIVES
Students at this swimming carnival can
- Dive from the competition blocks (only if they have been trained and competent to do so)
- Dive from pool deck level (if competent to do so) i.e. dive from beside the diving block
- Can enter the water prior to the event on the starters whistle and hold onto the backstroke bar with both feet on the wall
- Relays/Swimmers starting in the water:
- The swimmer’s feet must be on the wall when the incoming swimmer’s hand touches the wall.
- The swimmer starting in the water must start on the left of the lane
PROTESTS
- Protests must be submitted in writing within ten (10) minutes of the conclusion of the event or incident at the medals & notes table.
- A written protest form can be obtained from the officials at the medals & notes table.
- The protest committee shall consist of: Referee (Swimming NSW), Convener, Sydney Catholic Schools Sport Staff
- Their decision will be final and no further correspondence will be entered into.
MULTI CLASS EVENTS
- Multi class swimmers and their parent/guardian are asked to check in with Mrs Anna Turnbull the Multi Class Coordinator.
- Please see the registration table who will contact her upon your arrival.
ORDER OF EVENTS
- Events shall be held in the sequence indicated in the program; however, the Convener reserves the right to alter this without prior notice.
- Two (2) marshalling calls will be announced for each event.
- A Live Marshalling Documents will be available on the day of the Championships for Spectators to follow.
PRESENTATIONS
- Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd place-getters in each event.
OUT OF BOUNDS
- Parents, coaches and other unauthorised persons are not permitted on pool deck or in the marshalling, recording, warm up, medals and presentation or judging areas.
- Once participants are in the hands of officials they shall not receive any coaching or advice.
- Children, Parents and Spectators are NOT permitted on any part of the pool deck at any time.
PHOTOGRAPHY GUIDELINES
- In order to protect the safety of our students, we ask parents to only take photos of their child from the spectator/viewing area. Where possible, crop out any other students.
- No group photos are to be taken without parental consent of the students being photographed.
- An area of the grand will be blocked off for parents to be able to take photos of the podium
FIRST AID, SAFETY AND PRIOR INJURIES
- The convener and referee must be informed of any injuries to students prior to the Swimming carnival eg: plaster cast, strapping tape etc.
- Personnel are on duty in the First Aid room on pool deck
- Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre Integrated Management System will be implemented in the event of an emergency. Competitors, staff & spectators should respond as directed by SOPAC staff.
