Sydney Catholic Schools  in partnership with Cricket NSW provides an opportunity for students to participate in a cricket camp.

The experience will kickstart students’ love of cricket and is aimed at all ability levels in the sport.

What is Cricket

Cricket is a bat-and-ball team sport where the batting side tries to score as many runs as possible while the bowling side attempts to get batters out, also known as taking wickets, and restrict the flow or runs.

Why Cricket

To play cricket you need to be fit and strong, and have good hand-eye coordination and ball-handling skills. Cricket involves sprinting and running, as well as bowling and throwing. Health benefits include: endurance and stamina, balance and coordination, physical fitness and improves hand-eye coordinaton

Fun Fact

Cricket actually began in 16th century England when children used to play it on the streets. Originally, cricket wickets had two stumps and only one bail

Term 2 – July Holiday Camp

Sydney Catholic Schools in partnership with Cricket NSW is conducting an exciting one day camp opportunity to kickstart an individual’s love of cricket and to provide further opportunities in the sport

What to Expect

The  holiday camps are the ultimate blend of fun and learning, offering action-packed days filled with thrilling activities and dynamic techniques. 

This camp will focus on:

  • Inclusiveness
  • Engaging fun group cricket activities
  • Learn basic cricket skills in a group/team environment

Venue – Gannons Park

Age criteria – Boys and Girls year 4 – 9

Cost $80

Ability and experience level – This is an inclusive program that caters to all levels of ability.
