The results are in, here are your 2022 Overall and Community Champions.
Pssst! They’re the ones to beat in 2023.
Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) introduced an Overall School Champion award, as well as a Community Champion award in 2022.
The SCS Overall School Champion is awarded to the school who collected the most points throughout the year. Every SCS sporting competition is recorded, with a point system awarded in relation to where a school or student has placed at that competition. It is awarded to the school with the highest point total across all four conferences.
The 2022 Girls Overall School Champion is Conference 2’s Marist Sisters’ College Woolwich who amazingly finished almost 300 points ahead of the rest. The 2022 Boys Overall School Champion goes to Marcellin College Randwick from Conference 1, with a combined total of 1420.2 points.
The SCS Community Champion title is awarded to a school with the highest ratio points. This means that the overall point total is divided by the amount of students at the school. It is again given as a combined-conference award.
The 2022 Boys Community Champion is Holy Cross College Ryde who is again part of Conference 2. Aquinas Catholic College Menai from Conference 3 earned their Girls Community Champion glory.
“The staff at the schools have done a magnificent job to create such wonderful opportunities for our students. Congratulations to all award winners and to those who challenged them along the way to bring out the best in each other.”
